MGS: Costa Rica

Lol!

Its always nice to see and compare the portrayal of my country in fiction by people who've never been there. Including our ever-victorious air force, and dangers.

Now we got Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker to join the fad.

Just a warm up

It always amuses me that the biggest praise for my work comes for the imagination, while the truth is that there's not a single line in all my work that does not have a basis in reality. The problem is that Caribbean reality resembles the wildest imagination.

Good old times

Ah... its good to be young... I remember when I was your level, 75, and got my first level 80 gear (which at that time was the level cap).

There I was, my first time in Drak'Tharon Keep with a random group of people having the usual problems to start the instace: the server was full and we had to wait to enter, some people had to be summoned twice, some went AFK while we tried to get inside, and we had to wait for them...

In those days it was VERY common for me to get into random instance groups using the LFG and going to places I didn't know where they were. (Good old times)

Once we FINALLY started the instance, our first mobs killed or wiped us! I was already starting to worry how we would manage to even do the first boss like that! Was it my fault? (I was the healer which I don't usually like)

And then the bomb came! Everyone but a Blood Elf hunter died, and he looted a rare item from a mob while the rest spirit released!

I was about to leave the group because I was tired of wiping and that, but since I don't usually do it without analyzing what was going wrong, it turned out the item was NOT
bind on pick up so, we rolled and I won it (with a 99 lol!)! I still wasn't able to use it but it was my first level 80 item! What item was it? No idea lol, I didn't write it down, I just remember it was a spellcaster cloak with a red socket.

And the instance itself? Well, we did finish it, it turns out that our Dork Knight tank forgot to put Frost Presence! Jeez! Fucking n00b!

Next time I'll tell you about the shaman who said me and the other druid were ninjas because we needed cloth items. Now go out there kids and farm Azshara, I gotta drink my prune juice.

Poder Legislativo (Honorabnle congreso nacional)

The stuff nightmares are made out of

(My previous update was lame)

Written by Skibo the first:

Magic: the Gathering
Evolution

Jace is your average high school student living in a small town when just before he's going to ask the most popular girl in school, he gets too worked up and finds himself in Egypt. He later learns that he is a planeswalker meaning he can teleport anywhere on Earth... and once to Mars as comic relief.

Years ago his grandfather and four others found a mystical stone in a Mayan ruin and when touched it broke apart into five peices, each with a diffrent color. Now Jace must collect all five stones and bring them back to the Mayan temple before the eclipse or else the world will end*. On his way he'll fight Chandra, the brash young hottie with a love of pyromania, Vess, a troubled girl who made a deal she can't back away from, Gaurruk, a hunter extreme with no morality when it comes to his prey, and Ajani, a young man who is learned the diffrence between vegence and justice.

But deep in the shadows lurks, Bolas. Jace's former friend and rival. He seeks the stone for his own power.

Will Jace be able to recover all five stones? Will Bolas suceed in destroying the world? You'll just have to tune into...

In the end Bolas does get the stones, turns into a dragon and Jace has to slay him with the legacy weapon.

Seeds fall anywhere

Thank you Captain Obvious

Deliberate Sociable Fun Veteran (DSFV)
Generous, helpful, kind...a few of many positive attributes people see in you, the Helping Hand. Nothing satisfies you more than helping your teammates or friends out in all the games that you play. You may even look to assist people in some cases if there is no one around asking for help. In fact, the enjoyment that you receive from helping people rivals that of solving a puzzle, winning a battle, or achieving a hard objective in a game.

Heavily social intensive games tend to be what you enjoy the most although you can probably find something to take pleasure in with most games. For instance, if you happen to find yourself in a competitive first person shooter, you'd probably take the support class. We recommend you stick to games (and crowds!) where people will appreciate you more; these include more casual gamers seeking fun and excitement from games rather than the serious competitive ones.

Razorfen Kraul

Another instance bites the dust. I'm actually considering doing it again to loot more equipment.

-Got 2 of the Inheritance Cycle books
-Joined Dragon Knights
-Got a sig banner:

And the day hasn't finished yet.

IE8 = crap

I downloaded it to try it, and 15 minutes later it got stuck for 3 minutes and almost crashed.

EPIC FAIL.

Good Party

It is SO different when you have a balanced and hard working party to do an instance. I've been trying for almost a week to complete Wailing Caverns with no definite result, and last night in a simple group of 4, we completed Shadowfang Keep.

Cereal box

That's where some people seem to be getting their driver licenses these days...

On saturday night, a kid rammed into my brother's car, which was parked and had the hand break, and managed to turn it 90° into the road.

Now my brother's worried that his car will be declared wasted because the insurance won't cover a repair more expensive than the car itself.

Lunch quake

I don't know about you guys out there, but these 11:30 am quakes are my lunch-time alarm.

How long will this go on?

Loot Ninja

I was accused of being one, just because during my first dungeon raid everything happened so fast I took something and didn't have a chance to check it; in the end, I did like the item, and now wear it though.

Helicobacter pylori

So, today I had blood and breath samples taken to see if I got these little buggers...

Not that the test result will be conclusive in any aspect of my life, but at least I'll be able to tell if I have them or not.

:(

Everything I did this weekend, everything that happened in the world is meaningless now.

There was a guy breaking trash bags on the street on the way to work today to eat other people's trash, and a guy camping in a bus stop when I went to lunch.

What is happening in this country?

Day 4

Still progressing on the quests and trying to choose talents and professions I want.

Now you can see my character here.

PS. I still got the same logging problems, updating BIOS and video codecs didn't work.

Thursday, March 05, 2009

Day 3

I still got the same problem with the game, and it seems that the solution is updating my BIOS.

Anyways, quests are getting harder now because the items I'm required to collect aren't dropped as common as before. I also got my first glimpse of a major city; the damned guys promoting their items for sale flood the general chat, gotta find the in-game option to ignore them.

Wednesday, March 04, 2009

Day 2

So, I still got the same login problems...

On the bright side, quests are starting to get more developed with more interesting objectives and storyline.

And I also got into my first party; it wasn't anything special, but it proved that there are n00bs everywhere... our warrior was an idiot who didn't follow the basic strategy of: spellcasters lure the mobs.

In other news, I want this!

Day 1

I arrived home very excited about FINALLY playing WoW, and to my surprise, the game started normally, but there was a problem seeing my character playing. I posted my problem in the official forums, but unfortunately the customer service person was already gone.

First of all, a game that is played 24/7 SHOULD have a 24/7 customer service!

Anyways, the game managed to fix itself somehow, and I managed to play.

The starting quests were the usual: kill harmless animals and collect items to report back. Only when I reached level 5 I was asked to kill intelligent warfaring beings, and to help another NPC.

Unlike ANY other 3D MMORPG I've played so far, the game NEVER lagged at all to me, which is a considerable plus, on the down side, I only saw 1 other player once riding his mount in the distance, and the dead bodies of 3 other players, which is a down... MMORPGs are not fun if there's no one online... maybe its because I'm in a starting zone, and only n00bs like me roam there...

Lok'tar ogar!

Finally today I will start WoW.

No idea if I'll ever see the sunlight again...

This is the face of one of the stupidest persons that thankfully isn't wasting our oxygen anymore:

Yet another mouth

Yesterday at around 9:20 pm Tiffany Picado Pérez was born, poor little kid, not only she got a polo name already, such a perfect chance to have PPP or PPPP as initials was wasted...

In other news, I found scientific proof that I'm defective and need to go get my money back.

Was it really necessary to put a naked teenager girl on the cover of an EXCELENT book?

Jeez, now I have to hide it from kids in the bus.

The price of good advertising

Due to a simple (yet very effective) marketing strategy we've implemented at the office, our phones haven't stopped ringing all day long, and as of this moment I've sent over 50 e-mails to people who have contacted us regarding our announcement.

I'm starting to hate effective marketing.

For those interested, you can subscribe now to WIPO's General Course on Intellectual Property.

Price of fame

Not even 30 minutes after the press conference finished, and our phones were already flooded with calls from the press looking for an interview with the 2008 National Technology Award winner, whose developed we protected and have encouraged ever since (not to mention that we signed him up in the competition).

Woe is us.

Goodbye Guantánamo

In a very surprising move in the world of politicias, Obamas has done something he promised in his campaing to do: order Guantánamo to be closed, and do something about the people locked there, innocent or not.

In other news, I might go to Honduras at the end of march to do a presentation, but it's still not official.

>_<

In spite of having a decent weight, a decent body fat percentage, and a decent body mass index, blood tests say that my triglycerides are a bit too high...

That means no more of things that I eat every single day for a while, and I gotta do more aerobics in the gym.

Yet more stupidity

Right when you thought gringos did something smart by electing Obama, they just keep confirming how fucking stupid they are.

In other news, I lost 3 kg since november.

Cashing in

Today I went to a INS agency to ask for my refunds thanks to Iberia's horrible and useless workmethods.

In 3 weeks I'll know how much money they want to give me.

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

Iberia is STILL bullshit

This time they made me stay 24 hours in Madrid, and lost my luggage for a day. And the worst part is that cashing in the compensation money is impossible from here.

Fucking jerks.

Saludos a tod@s.

Sabado 18
